Featured will be the Polecat Aero Xterminator HLG, Model Flight Stepp 3 RES, PWT Soverign 2M, and the Sage built MH32 sectioned open class TD wings.

Stepp 3 The Stepp 3 is my choice for RES competition this coming year. That's if I ever get it built, I'm doing more flying than anything else lately. I got the S3 from Model Flight in Australia as I wanted something a little different and it has a proven track record. It came with a gelcoated fiberglass fuselage and laser cut wing parts. Kit quality so far is excellent. At the very least I'll have it done for the Built Up Bent Wing event at Visalia later this year.

Xterminator Denny Maize at Polecat Aero produces this excellent hand launch glider. Mine arrived with painted wings (white tops blue bottoms)which look very nice. The fuselage comes with the boom installed and the hatch cut and fit. All that needs to be done is cut and join the wings, install the tail group and radio gear. I used a four cell 150mAh battery, two JR NES-241 servos and a Berg6 Rx. RTF weight came to 8.4 ounces, this could be gotten under 8 but it flies great at this weight. I did some local flying with it and it is a fantastic performer, it has specked out from a standing throw several times and dead air duration is almost a minute with a strong launch. At the recent SWC in Phoenix I flew in both the golf event and the Saturday all up last down and in both events beat several exotic HLG's costing almost twice as much. I actually made the last six in the all up which was a pleasant surprise.
